 Gorilla trekking at  Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
 • The experience:

Trek through the dense, misty forest accompanied by a guide to meet one of the park's habituated mountain gorilla families. You will have an unforgettable hour to observe these magnificent and endangered primates in their natural environment.
 • Logistics:

With nearly half of the global mountain gorilla population, Uganda stands out as a premier destination for this activity. Permits are necessary and should be secured well in advance, particularly during the dry seasons (June–August and December–February).
 • Visitor information:

The park is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site and also provides excellent birdwatching opportunities.

 

Chimpanzee tracking at Kibale National Park


•The experience:

Kibale is recognized as the "Primate Capital of the World" due to its population exceeding 1,500 chimpanzees and 12 additional primate species. You have the opportunity to participate in a half-day trekking adventure to witness the chimpanzees as they engage in play, feeding, and social interactions.
•Extended tours:

For a deeper engagement, you may choose the Chimpanzee Habituation Experience, which permits you to spend an entire day with the primates alongside researchers.

Game drives and safaris
•Queen Elizabeth National Park:

Situated on the equator, this park is renowned for its tree-climbing lions found in the Ishasha sector, which can be seen resting in the branches of acacia trees. The park is also home to elephants, leopards, buffalo, hippos, and a variety of bird species.

Murchison Falls National Park:

Located on the slopes of Mount Elgon, visitors can hike to a series of stunning waterfalls and partake in activities such as abseiling and coffee tours.

• Lake Bunyonyi:

A breathtaking lake in the southwest, adorned with 29 islands. It serves as a perfect location for relaxation, canoeing, birdwatching, and community visits following a gorilla trek.


• Ssese Islands:

Comprising 84 islands in Lake Victoria, these islands provide a peaceful getaway with soft sandy beaches and lush forests. Buggala Island acts as the primary tourist center and is reachable by ferry from Entebbe.
